See Aishwarya Rai In 'Oprah's Next Chapter' Preview--Is Beti B Featured?

The much anticipated India episode of Oprah Winfrey's Oprah's Next Chapter airs this Sunday, and today fans were treated to a teaser of the program which includes a glimpse of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan herself!

Oprah filmed the episode several months ago, and started her trip to the subcontinent with a visit to Jalsa, the Bachchan residence in Mumbai. It was there that she got to meet Beti B (who may or may not be known these days as Aaradhya), was gifted a vibrant orange sari by her friend Aishwarya, and accompanied the Bachchans to a party in her honor held by Parmeshwar Godrej.

Oprah also visited the slums of Mumbai and held court so to speak at the Taj Mahal, which is shown to stunning effect in the trailer. The trailer also confirms Aishwarya's participation in the show--there was confusion over whether Oprah was simply visiting her old friend or if she had actually interviewed Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan as part of the program. A small glimpse of Aishwarya can be seen in the teaser--in it Aishwarya positively glows as she follows Winfrey out of Jalsa and into a waiting car. The episode description says that "Oprah meets 'the most beautiful woman in the world,'" so it certainly sounds like Aishwarya is going to feature prominently in the episode. If that's the case then it'll be the first real interview with her that's been seen since she gave birth to Beti B.

Speaking of the little one, one of the biggest questions from Oprah's trip to India concerns Beti B: Will she or won't she make her debut on the program? It seems incredibly unlikely that Aishwarya or Abhishek would show her off for a TV camera considering they won't even announce her name, but some fans are still holding out hope that they'll catch a shot of Beti B/Aaradhya during this weekend's airing.

It'll be interesting to see what Aishwarya has to say during her interview, and whether she talks about her future plans in the film industry (or perhaps reveals her daughter's name finally!). Certainly Aishwarya's international fans will want to tune in and see the Bollywood beauty in what will be a very rare appearance.
