Bethenny Frankel hasn't kept her marriage troubles a secret, as she has shown some of the fights on her reality show, Bethenny Ever After. She isn't trying to hide the fights in her marriage to make her marriage appear perfect in the media. And in the newest issue of Self Magazine, Bethenny is opening up about her marital problems. She admits that she and Jason have had some explosive fights and what fans see on the show in terms of bickering is the honest truth.
"(Jason and I) have had strains. We've had major fights," Bethenny explains. One was caught on camera, as Jason walked away from Bethenny and Bryn before they were to go on the sailing trip. "When I signed on to do the this show, I committed to myself and my fans to be totally honest. You cannot show people only the petals and not the thorns. It's not fair to them," Bethenny Frankel continues.
Living in the spotlight can't be healthy for the marriage. Every day, there is something new about her in the press and Jason can't possibly just ignore the stories everyday. And given that Bethenny has lots of enemies, especially because of her enemies on The Real Housewives of New York, one statement on Twitter from these people can easily turn into an attack on Bethenny in the matter of hours.
"The minute I got on TV it was like, don't be on TV unless you're not showing who you are," Bethenny explains during her interview with the magazine. "By just being me, I ended up finding this audience that really related to me, and I ended up connecting to them...that is how it all evolved." One has to wonder if all of the fights between Bethenny and Jason are actually just caused by haters—not because of issues between them.
