Now that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have reportedly been passed over for the title roles in Fifty Shades of Grey, there's intense speculation on celebrity websites about the casting of Rob in the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, the eagerly awaited Hunger Games sequel. Interestingly, there's been no mention of Kristen Stewart at all. Oops.
Poor KStew. It seems no one wants her these days except her RPattz. Her personal life is, of course, something to be happy about. But the future of her career, not so much. RPattz however, seems to be getting hotter every day. And that's not a reference to his physical appearance. It's about his desirability as an actor not a sex symbol. Well, actually it's about both.
In all truthfulness, it is Rob's physical appearance that's partly (mostly?) responsible for the Twilight heart-throb being considered as a natural for the role of Finnick Odair. A 20-something from District 4 who actually won the Games 10 years before, Finnick is described in the books as "one of the most attractive people in the world." Sounds a lot like Edward Cullen doesn't he? At least physically anyway. Twihards who are also Hunger Games fans would be ecstatic.
But what about Robert Pattison's lady-love? How does she feel about the possibility of Robert Pattinson being cast in a new wildly successful film franchise without her. And even worse, a franchise starring her rumored nemesis, Jennifer Lawrence? Only KStew knows. Only time and the eventual official casting of Catching Fire will tell.
Note: Other stars considered as possibilities for Catching Fire characters are Mila Kunis as Johanna Mason, Twilight's Peter Facinelli as Betee, and Betty White as Katniss' friend, Mags.
