According to her On the Road director, Kristen Stewart will do anything to make her screen performances more polished and more realistic. And that includes doffing her clothes for the camera. Wonder how Robert Pattinson will feel about his lady-love baring all for onscreen?
According to On the Road's director, Walter Salles, the role of the free-spirited Marylou was KStew's "dream role," and the Breaking Dawn heroine was determined to play the part superlatively--even if it meant acting in the buff. Which as it turned out, is exactly what the role required. In a recent interview, Salles revealed that Kristen's dedication to the character was what enabled the film to be made successfully on such a low budget of only $25 million.
"On the Road was one of her favorite books," mused Walter. "There is a quality of freedom in Marylou, a desire for experimentation and Kristen knew well."
Salles didn't attempt to explain exactly how Kristen Stewart came to be so familiar with Marylou's desire for freedom and experimentation. He did however imply that La Stewart's lack of inhibitions and her willingness to give a remarkably intense performance in all aspects of the character including sexuality and nudity helped deflect attention from monetary deficiencies that might have otherwise been obvious in the finished product.
Of course, the question still remains: How will Robert Pattinson feel about his light of love cavorting au naturel for the first time on camera? He certainly won't be shocked. As anyone who's even glanced at the stills from RPattz's eagerly anticipated Bel Ami knows, Rob is no stranger to showing skin on camera himself. He even strips down a bit in his other highly touted post-Twilight film, Cosmopolis. Not to mention the fact that RPattz once took his family to a German strip club. So, he surely won't mind KStew doing nude scenes. In fact, it will probably turn him on.
You go, KStew.
