Kim Kardashian and Kanye West caused quite the stir in New York City, as the new couple were recently spotted spending time together and getting sweet on each other—with ice cream cones in hand, to boot. (Kim's pending divorce from ex Kris Humphries is obviously not putting a damper on the new duo's fun.) Not to mention, Kim reportedly took this past weekend in the Big Apple to officially introduce her new guy to her family. Apparently, it all was quite peachy, too, as rumors have alluded to the fact that even the hard-to-please Khloe Kardashian is a fan of the rapper. Kimye, as they're now called, were even seen on a double date with Khloe and Lamar on Saturday night!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West weren't the only ones toasting a relationship milestone (meeting the fam!), though, over the weekend. Kim's mom, Kris Jenner, and Kris' husband, Bruce, were also celebrating their wedding anniversary at NYC's Spice Market restaurant, the scene of that Kim-Kanye and Khloe-Lamar double date that really was a quadruple date of sorts—the pregnant Kourtney Kardashian was also there, as was Kim's BFF Jonathan Cheban. Talk about a family gathering!
Given that everyone but the dog showed up for this affair, it's likely that there may have been some ulterior motives to the party toasts, as in those of the reality TV show variety. The Kardashians are one big, busy (and pregnant—in Kourtney's case!) family, so it's plausible that this NYC rendezvous, with nearly everyone present and accounted for, might just be the result of some canny planning from the Keeping up with the Kardashians show producers.
Hollywood Life highlights this possibility, as well, also pointing out that the anniversary party-slash-date night was orchestrated very publicly. Those cameras must have been rolling!
That aside, sources have said that "Lamar and Kanye seemed to get along great," during the dinner. So, it looks as if Kanye West has earned Khloe Kardashian's husband's seal of approval, too. Kim Kardashian must be clicking her Christian Louboutin heels in glee.
