Former Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny said something very interesting on her reality show after she made it big; when you become famous, people will start suing you left and right, just because you have money. Well, another former Bravo star is feeling that exact statement at the moment, since he has just been served with a lawsuit. Remember the loving couple, Tareq and Michaele, the White House party crashers? Well, it turns out that Tareq is now being sued after he supposedly filed a lawsuit against Michaele and her new lover for making him distressed. But this new lawsuit has nothing to do with love or revenge.
According to Wetpaint Entertainment, the lawsuit is in regard to the vineyard that Tareq owns. On Real Housewives of D.C., he explained how the vineyard was run-down and how he was competing with his mother over the land. Well, now he is being sued for supposedly not offering vineyard tours even though people had paid for them. In addition, he proposed to give the people refunds, but they were never issued. Therefore, Virginia's attorney general, Ken Cuccinelli, has now filed the lawsuit.
It seems that once you have money, people are out to get you. But one could argue that Tareq shouldn't throw stones when he is living in a glass house, given his lawsuit earlier targeting his ex-wife was upwards of $50 million.
And while the judge didn't think that $50 million was worth the stress and humiliation that Tareq felt, the judge could think that taking people's money without refunding it is worth going to trial.
