Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart made some serious waves at the Coachella music festival last weekend, where they showed a somewhat provocative, grungy side with sneakers and T-shirts referring to swingers and white trash, plus some seriously short shorts on Stewart. But, the couple certainly weren't the only ones with revealing and unusual fashion statements, nor were they the only hot-button celebrities in attendance. However, what did set them apart (aside from their massive fan base and extreme star power, that is) is that they eschewed the VIP areas created especially for celebs like them and mixed in with the music-loving masses.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart skyrocketed to fame in large part due to their blockbuster roles in The Twilight Saga. But the two actors have never really seemed to cock diva attitudes or compromise their down-to-earth character and super low-key life outside of the glitz and glam of the red carpet.
And it was no different at Coachella, either. As Hollywood Life reports, Pattinson and Stewart often skipped the cool-kids "artist only" areas (although they did go backstage at Florence + the Machines to see Katy Perry!) and other forms of available VIP treatment and pampering. And the website thinks that is just downright cool, too.
It's hard not to agree with the site's simply glowing opinion of the "grounded" Robsten. Anytime a star will play the role of the everyman—and pose for fan photos, which Pattinson did during his free time at Coachella—is a true winner.
But, as Hollywood Life also points out, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were most likely really at the see-and-be-seen Coachella for the tunes, not to wander around, strutting their stuff, showing off for the cameras, and sipping VIP cocktails. After all, Pattinson is quite the musician himself, so there's no question he was there for the "right" reasons at this annual fest.
