It's hard to argue with the course taken by Humphries leading up to the divorce trial. Aside from a few outbursts through the media, he has kept his focus on finding ways to win games for the New Jersey Nets. As a result, his NBA stock has taken a big boost just in time for him to become a free agent. At 26 years old, he's entering the prime of his career and has some bright years ahead. For that reason alone one would think he's a catch for any young woman. However Kris Humphries hasn't thrown his hat back into the ring since the horrible split with Kim Kardashian after 72 days of marriage. While she has found new love with music star Kanye West, Humphries has done little more than lose bets while trying to get phone numbers. Some think he's lost his edge, but others hint he has made a new vow not to date again until the divorce with Kardashian is over and done. Is it really his choice, or resistance to what she is doing with her new boyfriend?
Kardashian moving fast with West despite Kris Jenner warnings
Kim hasn't gone silent like her ex-husband in recent months. After a number of public shots leveled at Humphries, she saved the biggest one for last when she declared her love for West. Since then things have moved fast. Even mother Kris Jenner has warned her not to rush things with the music star but Kardashian hasn't listened. Her latest display of affection came when she showed off a new pair of gold earrings crafted into the letter "KW" after her new beau. At the current rate of progress, Kardashian may get married again right after her divorce to Humphries. While West has done most of the trash talking, many wonder if Kim is doing exactly what her former husband said she did with him. She is using West as a publicity stunt to gain attention. If true, it's no wonder he's not calling her bluff in the dating game. On the other hand, Kim is 31 years old. While still young, she's at an age where most women already have a family. Perhaps there's more to her "love" for Kanye than just getting back at Humphries.
The NBA and New Jersey Nets are still the top priority for Kris Humphries. While he'd like nothing better than to tell Kim Kardashian and Kanye West exactly how he feels, the pro side of him has kept that from happening. Whether the new power couple has secretly formed a pact to create a soap opera before the divorce trial is something not even Kris Jenner can know. It does make for an interesting idea though.
