Yesterday, a magazine cover was issued with The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice on the front, where she was issuing a public apology to her costars. When the news broke, Jacqueline replied to the news on Twitter, questioning whether the apology was genuine because she had heard that Teresa was asking mutual friends to pick sides. In her tweet, she wrote that she would love to sit down and talk with Teresa if she wanted to. It sounds like Jacqueline hadn't closed the door on the friendship completely.
After Jacqueline wrote that she would love to talk to Teresa, many fans wrote her and essentially attacked her for speaking on Twitter about the issue. It essentially pushed her to reach out to Teresa and invite her over for tea. "Hey @Teresa_Giudice ! I'd love for you to come over for a cup of tea with me so that we can sit down and talk. Call me," Jacqueline wrote after reading the In Touch article and apology letter. Of course, The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa promptly wrote back, tweeting she was in a meeting but Jacqueline should call again.
Later yesterday, Teresa wrote Jacqueline publicly, saying "I love how deeply you guys love all of us! @jaclaurita & I talked on the phone & agreed to take baby steps back to our friendship. xx." It sounds like these two women have decided to work towards making peace, even if they never get back to being as close as they once were. And while Teresa may have been eager to work things out, Jacqueline was a little hesitant in making up with Teresa. "My heart tells me that she's not sincerely ready to move forward. I'm beginning to believe it was a PR clean up attempt. Sad." She also wrote that she didn't forget how Teresa insulted her husband, so that it will take time to move forward.
One has to wonder if it is better for the women to just stay cordial.
