Kate Middleton spent time volunteering with the scouts near her and Prince William's home on Anglesey in North Wales these past few weeks. She made a promise back in January to spend time with children and use her sailing expertise in the process.
According to a report from People.com, Kate has been playing games and doing
arts and crafts with the Scouts, in addition to teaching them to tie the knots associated with sailing.
The Duchess of Cambridge has worked with children in the 8-10 age group as well as teenagers during her volunteer efforts.
She's clearly getting a lot out of it," a source close to the royal family says. "Everybody's taken to her well. I don't know anybody who would not take to her well. She's a very nice personality. She's showing that even very busy people can find some time in their diaries to help out in a volunteering capacity."
Are you impressed with Kate Middleton's volunteer efforts since becoming part of the royal family just one short year ago? Her time spent with the Scouts is an admirable way to volunteer. After all, children are the future.
