Kristen Stewart was named 2012's best dressed by Glamour UK, but did the Twilight star deserve this sartorial honor?
That's a matter of opinion, of course, but with so many fashionistas posing all over the world, to give this award to KStew was a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
After all, Kristen is typically in a hoodie of some sort, and often running through all kinds of airports in her Converse sneakers. She's not a style leader when that happens. She's into comfort, and good for her.
As for how she looks on the red carpet, well, she has come a long way since she was first doing this as a way to be present when her movies open. But with that said, Robert Pattinson's girlfriend is still not in her element on the movie premiere runway even if she's wearing the most expensive designer duds known to (wo)man.
No doubt, this popular artist is a good looking young woman and she is lucky enough to have a stylist with a good eye. But, at the end of the day, it's Kristen Stewart herself who must represent what she is wearing.
That said, often this part of the process turns into a real challenge for a person who is a tried-and-true thespian but is probably not all that thrilled with having to dress up and be herself. To be sure, a juicy part is a good fit for KStew but a job requirement that says she must promote that character is probably her least favorite aspect of her chosen professional.
And that often shows in either a frown or a forced grin along with an awkward stance on the red carpet. The only time she seems to be having fun with fashion is when she's with Robert Pattinson because he has to do the same as she does: pose.
