New Jersey Nets star give girl with cancer the royal treatment at NBA game
Not many fans were happy at the last game the New Jersey Nets played to close out a forgettable 2012 season. At least one of them though was thrilled for just the chance to see her favorite player in action. Kaely Kwitek, a girl with stage 4 cancer, was the guest of honor for Humphries at the Nets' last game of the season against the Philadelphia 76ers. Though they lost, Kwitek still glowed with excitement when she posed for a photograph with him after the game. Kris Humphries has made Kaely his friend but also his message in the fight against cancer. The young teen thanked him greatly for the gift but the basketball big man wasn't done. He's made it his mission to help her family handle the growing costs of her cancer treatment while giving her the chance to attend more games next season. It's a touching story centered on a man whom up until recently was universally hated by the media world. Now, as they see the softer side of him, it seems the anger has shifted towards in ex-wife and her new boyfriend.

To say Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are bad people isn't totally fair. For all their questionable acts they are both generous to charity. However, that hasn't done enough to show fans that they have earned the right to keep slamming Humphries. As the divorce between Kim and her husband draws closer, her activities show why ratings in her shows have sunk. After a harebrained idea to run for mayor, Kardashian attended a party at the White House where she met Martha Stewart. Her boyfriend also has busied himself with helping fellow musician Justin Bieber finish his latest album. For all their popularity, many people grow tired of Stewart and Bieber and by default have gotten tired of Kardashian and West too. Their love affair isn't greeted with wonder and excitement. In fact, people question whether the relationship is just a publicity stunt. Otherwise, why would West get involved in the divorce by threatening Humphries? Loud mouth or not he would have only done it if prompted to by Kim.
It truly is a tale of two stories. Kris Humphries has gone about his normal business with a quiet, focused air. While he keeps his star rising in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets, he took time to make the day of a cancer patient. Elsewhere, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West hung with other celebrities like Justin Bieber and Martha Stewart. No one knows who's right or wrong in the divorce mess, but Humphries may have found a way to get more people on his side.
