The Hunger Games' Jennifer Lawrence managed to pull in two nominations for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Along with Emma Stone and Emma Watson, Jennifer received two nominations for Best Female Performance and Best Kiss. As great as that news is, Jen didn't get nominated for the coveted Breakthrough Performance category.
And, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's Ronney Mara was the actress with the most nominations this year. Ronney got three nods for Best Female Performance, Breakthrough Performance and Best On-Screen Transformation.
Lawrence has been riding a wave of success since The Hunger Games hit theaters. Thanks to her amazing performance and chemistry with Josh Hutcherson, Lawrence's acting has won praise. In reality, her no-nonsense personality and hard edge has continued to peek the interest of movie execs.
Now, it's just a matter of waiting to see if Jennifer Lawrence really will beat out the other actresses nominated in the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. This could really be Lawrence's year.
