Ryan O'Neal Doesn't Know Where Imprisoned Son is Being Held

Ryan O'Neal hasn't had much peace in his life in the past few years. He lost the love of his life, Farrah Fawcett, to anal cancer. He watched daughter Tatum O'Neal battle drugs and saw son Griffin O'Neal go to jail after his son Redmond had been in jail for quite some time. He battled leukemia and was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Now he says he doesn't even know where Griffin is being held.

According to a report from Hollywood.com, O'Neal voiced some of his dismay on The View on Tuesday.

"I don't even know what prison he's in. They don't tell me," he said of Griffin.

It's uncertain why Ryan O'Neal isn't being told of his son's whereabouts, or even who is preventing him from getting such information. It must be incredibly unnerving, however, to have a son in jail and not even know the location of where he's being held.

Redmond O'Neal, Ryan's son with Farrah Fawcett, is now in a state-imposed drug rehab program following his imprisonment. Ryan and Tatum are doing better right now, and she has been looking after him since his cancer diagnosis.

"Tatum is out and about and doing much better, looks wonderful and is happy. She's always happiest when I'm ill because she can mother me and fawn over me and take care of me," Ryan O'Neal told the ladies on The View.

It's sad that O'Neal doesn't know where son Griffin is being held. It could provide him with a bit of peace--something he desperately needs during the cancer battle he'll soon ensue. What reason do you suppose there is for him not being informed of his son's whereabouts?
