New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel has a new gig: She's the latest celebrity ambassador to represent the Pantene hair products brand.
According to reports, Deschanel -- known for her long, luscious brown locks and shaggy bangs -- has signed on to work for Pantene and will soon appear in new print ad campaigns.
"I am so excited to be a part of the Pantene family. Anyone who knows me knows that I am really into hair. I'm a real girly girl and love doing my hair and experimenting with different styles," she explained.
Deschanel is part of the brand's "Beautiful Lengths" campaign, a program that encourages women to cut and donate their hair to turn into wigs for cancer patients.
"Pantene is helping to provide confidence and beautiful real-hair wigs to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment; you can't put a price on that," added the actress.
Zooey Deschanel's signature locks join the ranks of Naomi Watts and Eva Mendes, who have represented Pantene in the past.
Seems pretty fitting, right? After all, Deschanel does have gorgeous hair.
Do you think her quirky style has brand-appeal?
Will Pantene's ads be a tad funnier now with zany Zooey on board?
Don't forget, she's also a singer. Maybe a new Pantene "I Love Hair" jingle is in the works? Hey, that would be one way for Deschanel to impress her new boss.
