Basketball Wives producers have been planning a lawsuit against Jennifer Williams because she ended up filing a lawsuit against Evelyn Lozada's assistant, Nia Crooks. Jennifer filed the lawsuit after she got slapped in the face because she felt violated, but she later revealed on the show that she can't risk getting marks on her face because she uses her face to sell her lipgloss products. Well, producers were trying to create a lawsuit against her for breaching contract due to a clause that stated that the show wouldn't be held responsible for any fighting that happened during filming.
Maybe the producers didn't have enough for the lawsuit because it sounds like the lawsuit is changing from the breached contract to focus on negative publicity. According to Examiner, the producers of the show may start targeting Jennifer Williams' negative publicity of Basketball Wives and file a lawsuit for speaking out negatively without the show's approval.
It sounds like the producers are putting all of the drama with the lawsuit and the major drop in ratings over the bullying issue on Jennifer's shoulders. Producers are supposedly upset with her 'ruining' the brand the show has built up. Putting all the blame on Jennifer for the trouble with the show does seem extreme, but with the other cast members boycotting the reunion taping over the lawsuit, the producers probably feel like they have to do something dramatic.
Who do you think is right in this situation?
