Zayn Malik just may be able to cement his bad boy image once and for all. The One Direction cutie and his band mates are up for a new award which really makes no sense but would make Zayn's leather jackets and tattoos seem very worthwhile.
Apparently, One Direction and Justin Bieber are both up for the same award and neither of them really deserves it. So, what is this mystery award?
Well, it's called the "Villain of the Year" gong and it is part of the Kerrang! Awards 2012. Though it's not clear why the boy band and the superstar known as Justin Bieber are up for an award about villains, it seems pretty cool.
One theory is that Kerrang! is a rock magazine so it's possible that they chose One Direction and Justin Bieber for the Villain award because they make pop music, which is pretty much the nemesis of rock music.
Also in the category are Simon Cowell and Lou Reed.
