Justin Bieber's hair has gone through a panoply of changes and incarnations since his career began. In fact, the Biebs' famous locks almost have a life and a career of their own. That hairy life began with the boyish, bowl-cut brown Bieber flip which eventually gave way to a shorter version thereof that reportedly caused him to lose 80,000 Twitter followers. After that, his hair seemed to go all over the place. Sometimes, it was combed straight up and geled in a style reminiscent of the Twilight heart-throb Robert Pattinson's. And its color changed from medium brown to very dark to blond and back again.
JB's most recent tonsorial style is also making waves. In his "Boyfriend" music video and in photos for his eagerly anticipated album Believe, JB sports a 'do that's almost retro 50s. His hair is geled, combed upwards, and then slicked black in a semi-pompadour reminiscent of Elvis Presley when he was still the teenage King of Rock and Roll. Cool. Elvis would be pleased. Probably. But what do JB's fans think of his new 'do? Apparently, not much.
A new poll conducted by a teen fan site asked the question: "What Do You Think of Justin's Slicked Back Hair?" Sadly, the responses showed that most beliebers were not amused. Although a reasonably large 26.59 percent were too polite to voice an opinion either way, only 24.45 percent professed their love for their idol's new look. However, a whopping 48.97 percent admitted that they hated it. Yes, those were the words they used. They absolutely, undeniably, unequivocally hated it. Ouch.
Oh well, not even Justin Bieber can please all the people all the time. Not even when all of those people are his own "family" of true beliebers.
