Lamar Odom has had a lot on his plate this past year, and not all of it has been pleasant. Khloe and Lamar have a strong marriage, but Lamar has struggled in his NBA career this past year. Lamar's career woes have certainly put a damper on things, and he and Khloe have decided to take a step back from their show Khloe and Lamar. While viewers and media suspect it is the show that has interfered with Lamar's NBA career, the basketball player says that is not the case. Rather, Lamar believes it was his cousin's untimely death that stunted his performance.
Lamar Odom posted this message to his Twitter followers: ''It was hard to 2 get the picture of my cuz who was 24 was shot in the head out of my mind! Thanks 4 support.''
Of course, his cousin's murder wasn't too long after Lamar was in an automobile accident which killed a teenage boy.
It is understandable, when taking all of this into consideration, that Lamar Odom would have trouble keeping his full attention on the basketball court. Khloe and Lamar are a smart couple and are now taking the necessary steps, like putting their show on hold, to eliminate any potential distractions at a time when Lamar needs to refocus both his attention and energy into his basketball career.
