Jionni LaValle is proving to be a model citizen since his engagement to baby momma Snooki, and he's taking his newfound responsibilities seriously. Now, he's using his celebrity status to spread the word about the dangers of driving drunk.
"Please stop Drinking and Driving," he tweeted today. "I just lost a family friend and not only that, a very very good man!! It could happen to anyone!!"
Okay, it's not exactly a full-fledged campaign against drunk driving, but he's gained a lot of Twitter followers as a result of his fiancée's fame. So, his message has a pretty good reach.
It's lamentable that Jionni LaValle lost his friend to an alcohol-related fatality, and the tweet is sadly true. Thousands of people die each year as a result of people getting behind the wheel when they've had a few too many. Hopefully, Jionni's warning, albeit on Twitter, will make someone think twice before endangering their life and the lives of others.
