Those One Direction guys are certainly making their mark on the music world. Their New York show, scheduled for more than a year from now, has already sold out.
According to a report from NOLA.com, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are scheduled to play at New York's Nikon at Jones Beach Theater—but n
ot until June 28, 2013.
If fans didn't get their tickets for this show already, they're unfortunately out of luck. The What Makes You Beautiful singers are even shocking pros in the music world with their sold out shows.
"I've never seen anything like it," Jason Miller, the president of Live Nation's New York operation, which includes Jones Beach, says.
Shows simply don't sell out a year advance like the One Direction show has done. And the guys behind it are causing way more than just a 'new boy band' buzz.
"I have never tried to put anything on sale that far out in my career," Jason Miller says. "You just look at it and say, 'Wow! Where did this come from?'"
Will ticket agencies soon be booking One Direction for 2014? Will they soon embark into unprecedented territory?
