Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera, both coaches on the hit TV show The Voice, reportedly engaged in a fight on Sunday during rehearsal on the show's set. What was it about? Will everything be smoothed over before they go live for the next-to-last show of the season on Monday?
According to a report from RadarOnline, it certainly sounds like it was quite a heated ordeal, and it's a bit unclear exactly who is to blame. A source close to Aguilera says it was nasty, and it involved a song for contestant Tony Luca:
"Christina found out that Adam planned to have his finalist, Tony Luca, sing 99 Problems by Jay-Z, in which he'll sing 'I've got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one.' ... Adam and Tony wanted to call Christina out as a bitch, but make it clear she's not a problem for Tony. It was completely aimed at her. It was Adam's idea, but Tony absolutely loved it."
Does this sound right to you? Would Adam really jeopardize his place on The Voice just to get a mighty jab in at Christina Aguilera? She's been known for being difficult on the show since day one. It seems unlikely, however, that he would take his jabs in this manner.
"Christina thought it was ridiculous. She was highly offended," the source explained. "It ended up that NBC told Adam to change 'bitch' in the song's lyrics to 'chick.'"
Adam, however, reportedly refused to do any such thing, saying that it would completely ruin the song for Tony Luca would be a "death sentence."
Adam Levine then reportedly blew off his pent-up steam at Christina Aguilera during a rehearsal for the coach's performance.
"Adam went right up to Christina and said 'you're the biggest f***ing c***," the source says. "Obviously Christina was appalled and hissed that Adam should be fired. She's sick of being treated this way."
Does this still sound a bit far-fetched to you? Do you think Adam Levine would treat Christina Aguilera this way even though she's known for being a b*tch on the show?
It will be more than interesting to watch The Voice on Monday and Tuesday evenings this week and observe the banter (if there is any) between the two. Will you be tuning in?
