"End of an Era" is the title JP Rosenbaum used for his latest blog entry. Last week Ashley Hebert blogged about the same topic, but titled it "Thing I'll Miss About NYC." As Bachelor/ette fans are well aware, Ashley and JP are moving from New York City to New Jersey so both of them have equal commute distances. Hebert will put in her residency at Pediatric Dental Residency and Rosenbaum will continue his work as a construction supervisor in Long Island.
What are the things each of them will miss about living in New York? JP wrote in his latest post on the Ashley & JP blog that he'll miss only having seven to 10 minutes to get to work. When he commutes from New Jersey, it'll be an hour-and-a-half each direction -- accounting for three hours just in commuting time alone! That will be a huge change for someone who's lived in New York 12 years. Rosenbaum also said he'll miss the restaurants. He listed five of his favorite restaurants with the food picks he just loves there.
Another thing about NYC JP will miss is the melting pot atmosphere of the city. One block is Chinatown while Little Italy is on another one, and Little Tokyo, etc..
As for Ashley, she's not a New Yorker and enjoys the small city feel. She will, however, miss the convenience of having anything one could want within a two-block radius. The food is another reason she loves New York. Her favorites listed are Beauty and Essex and Scalinatella.
Lastly, Ashley will miss seeing JP enjoy being around his family and friends. She blogged some about sacrifices people make in relationships and she appreciates this one her fiancé is making.
How will Ashley and JP do when they live in New Jersey? Will it strengthen their engagement or put some strain on it? They're definitely in love and seem to have what it takes. No doubt the big move will prove to be a major test for them
