Katharine McPhee, Diane Kruger: Best Dressed at the Met

Smash star Katharine McPhee and The Host actress Diane Kruger were standout guests at this year's Met Ball. At the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, on May 7, Katharine and Diane chose beautifully colored gowns for one of fashion's biggest nights.

Diane Kruger once again proved why she is one to watch on the red carpet. The Farewell My Queen actress picked a breathtaking violet gown by Prada, as noted by Just Jared. Diane pulled off the over-the-top feathered number in her typical effortless way. A Prada clutch and a long statement necklace completed Diane Kruger's Met Ball outfit.

Singer Katharine McPhee looked beautiful at the 2012 Met Ball. The American Idol runner-up picked a form-fitting Elie Saab gown. Her belted, plunging neckline dress came in a lovely shade of coral. Katharine added a loose updo and pretty peach-hued make-up to her look.

Katharine's Smash cast mate Debra Messing also attended the gala. Debra picked a sparkling KaufmanFranco gown.
