Russell Brand and Katy Perry are divorced now. However, Russell and Katy's separation wasn't too long ago, and emotions are still running high, at least for the comedian. How can you blame him? A marriage is something that was intended to last forever.
During a Brand's act at New Jersey's Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Saturday, he was repeatedly interrupted by a heckler who reportedly shouted, "Katy Perry!" The guy obviously couldn't come up with anything more original. However, in the video below, he was only heard shouting, "God save the queen."
Midway through his act, Brand asked for the lights to be turned on and jumped off the stage and went in search of the heckler. If not for the length of his microphone's cord, the 36-year-old would have walked right up to the heckler's seat. Fortunately, the shocked man was saved that face-to-face encounter.
It was then that Brand unleashed a verbal assault worthy of reality TV.
Brand started off by saying, "Let's see how your mental illness looks in the daylight. I was hoping that your personality was a result of physical beauty, and then I saw you. You look like something that's fallen off the side of a church. What is it you have rattling around inside your mind? Some bizarre combination of alcohol and idiocy ... some cocktail of nothing and yet the confidence to continue shouting."
After a lot more slamming, Russell Brand finally walked back to the stage. All the while, there was thunderous applause and laughter. Needless to say the heckler will think twice before opening his mouth while around any celebrity.
