Thanks to TMZ, actor John Travolta has photographic proof that disputes the original sexual battery claim filed against him by a man known simply as John Doe. Travolta's maintained all along that he could not have groped the accusing masseur. That's because he was 2,475 miles away, in New York, when the so-called assault took place.
TMZ has a photograph in their possession that seems to confirm Travolta's claim. It got shot on January 16th; the same day the unidentified masseur, says Travolta grabbed his private parts.
There's more proof too. There is a receipt from Mr. Chow, a New York Restaurant. The bill, totalling $382 included a generous $100 tip, which is something for which the actor is well-known. Additionally, TMZ was able to confirm that is was Travolta who partook of the meal.
Clearly, the actor couldn't be in two places at the same time. Either the masseur in question is lying or someone is pulling off a darn good John Travolta impersonation.
A second lawsuit filed by another masseur on May 8th claims the actor tried to grab his privates during a massage in Atlanta on January 28th. So far, there's no proof that either verifies or disputes that claim.
Today, the lawyer who is handling both lawsuits made it known that other claims are forthcoming. That could mean that Travolta is in for a long and difficult time.
The actor claims the suits are "absurd and ridiculous" and for now his fans are sticking by him. Here's hoping the truth wins out and a quick and easy resolution is found in the foreseeable future.
