Robert Pattinson has been waiting a long time for this day, and it has finally happened -- he thinks. The actor has long lamented his meteoric rise to fame as a sparkly vampire in the massive Twilight franchise. Everywhere he goes; he is easily recognized by fans and paparazzi and is quickly surrounded by eager ladies and flash happy cameramen.
His day of attracting hordes of people may soon be coming to an end, or so he would like to believe. Rob will be heading to the Cannes Film Festival, but he is confident he will not be nearly as desirable as he was a few years ago. His fantasy when he hits the red carpet goes something like this, "This year they won't even notice me: 'We don't care, he's not in The Hunger Games!'"
It is always nice to have a dream, but Rob's latest film endeavors, Bel Ami and Cosmopolis, have made him an even hotter commodity. Women of all ages are getting a refreshing new look at the guy that sends teen girls screaming. His more mature roles have only broadened his audience and increased his fan population. People will definitely notice him.
While talking about the differences between his last appearance at the festival, Rob admits he has aged a bit. "When I have to go on the makeup chair, I see all those wrinkles that came with time. It's scary," he claims. He is only 25 and shows no signs of wrinkles. The self-conscious actor also alludes to his slight weight gain. He jokes about the fact he can no longer fit into clothes he stole from the first Twilight installment.
Robert Pattinson is one of those guys who keeps getting sexier with age. It would take a lot more than one film to eclipse his celebrity status.
