In a recent interview, Robert Pattinson revealed six aspects of himself that might be described as "intense." Kristen Stewart probably knew about them, but she wisely kept quiet. Rob, not so much. So brace yourselves, Twihards, and prepare to learn something new about your idol.
RPattz admits that he sometimes acts like a diva, but that behavior is more the result of insecurity than egotism. A prime example occurred on his first day of shooting Cosmopolis. While he and Sarah Gadon sat in the limo waiting to begin the first scene, she innocently asked him what he'd done to prepare for the Eric Packer role. Rob threw a hissy fit.
"I lost it completely," he recalls, "and I left the limousine, really angry while screaming: 'Why are you judging me like that? Are you trying to test me or what?'"
Speaking of insecurity, Robert Pattinson, at age 25, fears aging.
"I'm really different from who I was at the beginning of the [Twilight] saga," he laments. "I got older... When I'm going in the make up trailer, I can see all these wrinkles that appeared since then. It's really frightening. I got fatter as well."
Well, Rob has often admitted having body image issues. Interestingly, his weight gain led him to reveal that he once stole some "Edward Cullen" clothes from the Twilight set.
"I didn't have any clothes when I started the first movie," Rob recalls. "I stole a few ...at the end... I can't even get in them anymore!"
Gee, maybe he should mail them back anonymously.
Rob's fear of getting fat led him to take up paddleboarding last month. And as the world knows, the paparazzi followed him to the beach in droves. What the world did not know until now is that Rob became so enraged when he saw the paps snapping pics of him from "behind rocks," that he once again "lost it"--physically this time.
"I was trying to learn how to surf," he explained. "I looked like an idiot, ...I thought I had seen paps, trying to hide behind rocks. ...my body acted on impulse & I ran in their direction. But in the middle of my run, I started asking myself what I would do once I was in front of those guys. I wasn't afraid of being beaten up..., I was scared of ending up in court if I hit one of them. Fortunately, those paps were such cowards that they left immediately. I have no idea what would have happened if they had not left."
Yikes.
Even more infuriating than the beach paps was his recent rejection for a part in a Hollywood blockbuster. The reason? It was because he was "too marked by Twilight and it wouldn't be possible." Hopefully, his appearances in Cosmopolis and Bel Ami will permanently change the industry's perception of him.
The most important thing to Robert Pattinson these days is earning the respect of his peers.
"...before, I was more the type to get drunk & say: 'If people don't like me, they can go fuck themselves!' (laughing) It's different nowadays : I want the people that I respect to respect me as well. ... having the respect of others is what is the most important."
So there you have it. RPattz revealed. Was KStew right to keep mum?
