Ever since Melissa Gorga joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans have been battling on who to support. While Teresa Giudice seemed like such a nice woman that fans had come to know, Melissa also seemed very nice. There was just one problem—there was tension between the two women and they were not getting along. Not only that, but they were essentially family.
As the seasons have progressed, there has been a bigger divide between the women. Some are convinced that Melissa is just trying to upstage Teresa, going on the show without telling her sister-in-law with the mere goal of rattling her feathers. Those that thought Teresa was over the top saw Melissa Gorga as a breath of fresh air and saw Teresa's attacks to be out of pure jealousy.
Well, Wetpaint Entertainment conducted a poll to see who people supported and it turns out that Melissa Gorga has more support that Teresa—three times as much support. 60% of fans voted for Melissa, while 20% voted for Teresa. 20% of fans voted that both women needed to grow up and stop the bickering. It is surprising that such an overwhelming number of people voted for Melissa, considering she is the new housewife.
Perhaps fans are seeing just how happy Melissa and Joe are when Teresa isn't around. With Teresa's legal battles, people are supporting her as she is now working her butt off to provide for her family, but fans aren't seeing the full picture as she can't disclose some legal information. The decision of who to support really comes down to fan loyalty and seeing the bigger picture.
