Miley Cyrus is by now quite famous (or infamous, as the case may be) not only for her professional career and her boyfriend, The Hunger Games hottie Liam Hemsworth, but also for taking liberties when it comes to covering up—or rather not covering up—her assets. For her, fashion freedom seems to come in the form of bra-less exits, sheer tops, side cleavage, super-short hot pants and other modes of barely there expression. Of course, the singer-actress's provocative Twitter posts are another story entirely. She's definitely not in Hannah Montana land anymore! Interestingly, Cyrus' mom, Tish, is even apparently taking a page from her daughter's style play book, or perhaps it's the other way around. After all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
For Mother's Day on Sunday, May 13, Miley Cyrus and her mama spent some time together in Los Angeles. But, from afar, the duo could have certainly passed as sisters, especially with their look-alike ensembles. Donning a pair of ripped jeans, a tight and low-cut black, spaghetti strap tank and a hat, Tish definitely did not look her 52 years... nor did her, ahem, curves. She even skipped any type of supportive underpinnings, i.e. a bra, which stepped up the revealing nature of her outfit.
In fact, Miley Cyrus actually succeeded in parading around a look that was a bit more modest than her mom's, rocking a tight black tube top and high-waisted skinny jeans complete with bright red platform shoes.
E Online had some choice words to say about these sartorial statements and they weren't all that glowing. "Trailer trash" might have made an appearance. As well, "desperate" may have been used to describe Tish's look and "Freaky Friday" and "Olivia Newton-John" for Miley's. While such descriptions probably aren't that incorrect (well, trailer trash is taking it a bit too far), there's no denying Miley and her mom looked cute together, regardless if their ensembles were less than appropriate and eligible for a fashion-police ticket. After all, spending time with Mom, especially on Mother's Day, is always in style.
