Kate Middleton is feeling the sting of royal living after enjoying her first year as the wife to the heir of England's throne. Overall, she has been widely accepted and praised for her first year as a royal. She has managed to give the monarchy a healthy influx of warmth, which translates to a more favorable view of the family.
But not everybody loves Kate. She has been harassed and bullied, and Prince William is not going to stand by and let it happen. A new book about William's life paints Kate in a different light and insinuates she was after Will's fame and fortune. The Duchess of Cambridge's life has been put under a media microscope, and she is obviously feeling the pressure.
Princess Catherine is often compared to Princess Diana and many fear Kate will go down the same path. Will is not about to let that happen. Unlike Diana, Kate is dealing with a whole new level of pressure explains author, Robert Jobson. "With the internet and Twitter, Kate Middleton's facing far more abuse than even her late mother-in-law Princess Diana received," Jobson explains.
Back then, fans wrote letters, today, social-networking has taken the place of letter writing and is broadcast for the world to see. Bullies beware, "Prince William's used the law to force the paparazzi to back off and if the abuse of his wife continues, I wouldn't be surprised if he did that again to send a message to these bullies," states Jobson.
Despite what some may feel, Prince William and Kate Middleton appear to be truly in love, and he is not going to let her be taken down by nasty people who only wish for the worst. It his life and he should be allowed to marry and love the woman he chooses.
