Who knew that Nick Jonas was hot-tempered and a spoiled brat? Well, that is what GMA's Josh Elliot must have thought before he realized that he was getting punk'd by the youngest Jonas brother. It was all a set-up that was started by Lara Spencer, the pretty and 'innocent' side kick on the popular morning show. She explained that her cute and humbled colleague is always teasing her, so she wanted to get back at him somehow. She most certainly got him back...big time! Lara teamed up with Jason Goldberg, one of the creators of the MTV hit show Punk'd and of course, Nick Jonas.
Here is the set-up. Josh was set up to do an interview with Nick about being a child star. They also created a YouTube video of a guy, a poser who is really a guitarist for Justin Bieber, who
claimed Nick stole his song. The tune he is talking about is A Little Bit Longer, which Nick wrote about his struggle with diabetes. However, Josh will ask this question: How did this claim make you feel? How will the star of How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying react to this question?
The prank day finally arrives! In walks the suave Mr. Jonas as the victim shakes hands with him. Everything is going smoothly with the interview until the question is asked. The usually calm and even-tempered Jonas brother all of a sudden looks tense and angry. Josh is starting to look a little surprised now. When Nick says, "I don't believe this" and stops the interview, he starts ranting about all of the pain and frustration that went into writing that song. Josh's face was priceless, especially when Nick grabs the iPad out of his hand and starts stomping on it. He then throws it against the wall. Poor Josh! Lara is in the back giggling away while her friend is feeling highly uncomfortable. Okay, now is the time to put him out of his misery. Nick announces that Josh just got punk'd!
Josh was such a good sport about it. There were lots of laughs and even a big hug for Nick. Josh says, "I am Josh Elliot, and I just got punk'd!"
Nick appeared on GMA this morning laughing about the whole ordeal. He even apologized and said he felt bad for Josh. It was a fun experience to watch. Who knew that Nick Jonas could throw such a temper tantrum? You better watch out for this guy!
