Is Bobbi Kristina Brown--daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown--guilty of underage gambling in Las Vegas? An investigation is reportedly underway to determine exactly that.
According to a report from TMZ, video footage supposedly features Bobbi Kristina along with her boyfriend Nick Gordon, playing the slots at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday night. The two were in town for the 2012 Billboard Musi
c Awards, where Bobbi Kristina gave a short tribute and accepted an award on her late mother's behalf.
Bobbi Kristina won't be in all too much trouble if it is in fact determined that she was gambling. The crime is considered a misdemeanor in the state of Nevada and is punishable by a $1,000 fine and/or up to six months in a county jail. It's the MGM Grand that could face much bigger problems for allowing underage gambling in their establishment.
The Nevada Gaming Commission is already looking in to the incident but it's uncertain as to how long the whole process will take. If found guilty, the MGM Grand could be charged a rather hefty fine.
Oftentimes young people don't understand that the rules don't just impact their lives. If Bobbi Kristina Brown gets off with a $1,000 fine it's probably no big deal, but the heavy fine the casino could pay and the stigma of having underage gamblers on the premises could jeopardize their business significantly.
