Kate Middleton has become a style icon for millions of women all around the world. She has managed to make ladylike fashions look chic again and women appreciate the simplistic style. Not to mention, her style comes straight out of the stores and is not haughty couture that only the rich and famous could afford. Kate's hair has also been mimicked by regular ladies and a few in Hollywood, like Angelina Jolie.
Now, it sounds as if Kim Kardashian is also getting in on the Kate effect and taking makeup hints from the Duchess of Cambridge. Kim is very rarely photographed without her full arsenal of makeup plastered on. Lately, she has been sporting a fresh-faced look. Apparently, her new boyfriend, Kanye West, prefers Kim in a more natural state.
According to Kim's stylist, Rob Scheppy, "Kanye does like to get involved with Kim's look. He actually has a lot of input. He has amazing style, so we take his opinions to heart, and I say, 'OK, I'll try it.'" His influence is not restricted to Kim's clothes. Scheppy adds, "He definitely likes the less-is-more look." Women do not need to cake on the cosmetics in order to look good. Although Kanye's style is not for everybody, this is one thing he has got right.
Kate Middleton manages to look beautiful without a lot of fuss. Hopefully, this is a trend other ladies will embrace and will soon feel empowered to walk out the front door without spending hours applying gobs of makeup.
