Nikki Leigh: Miss May is an Honors Grad!

Nicole Leigh Farnam, now better known as 'Nikki Leigh', said in her Playmate interview that she wanted to be known as "a sex symbol with brains." Saturday, Miss May 2012, the Cypress, California native and Cal State Fullerton Sociology student graduated with honors and made her dream come true. The 5'3" beauty isn't worried about what anyone thinks, "Honestly, if you look back at the Playmates who have graced the covers of Playboy and the centerfolds, there are a lot of very successful women, and a lot of women who have done very well for themselves." Looks like Miss May is on the fast-track to success!

The 23-year-old blonde said that she knew at 13 that she wanted to be in Playboy. Last summer, she saw that an old friend had posed for the famous magazine and she asked her for a contact. She sent in a simple, clothed photo and was invited to audition. A few weeks later, she was told that she had been picked, along with a dozen other girls, to try out for Playmate of the Month, the only job she would accept from them. She said, "Thirteen girls were going in and one of them came back out. And I got it."

Although tons of girls try out for the coveted Playmate position, it is very rare to get picked. To this day, 86-year-old Playboy founder Hugh Hefner chooses every single Playmate personally. His original notion of 'the girl next door' hasn't changed much. Although with time, breast implants and styles have changed what constitutes the 'girl next door'! All-natural Nikki Leigh was a superb choice for Playmate, "I'm all set to travel and do whatever I can do be an incredible ambassador for Playboy. In fact, I can't wait!" It sounds like 'Playmate of the Year' might be in this girl's future!
