Robert Pattinson is once again making news as a strong contender in the upcoming sequel to The Hunger Games. Names like Justin Timberlake and Garrett Hedlund have been rumored as frontrunners, too, but Rob's name keeps surfacing for the role of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire.
According to a report from the Belfast Telegraph, Rob is of course best known for playing Edward Cullen in the Twilight series of films, and for dating his co-star Kristen Stewart. Now it seems he could switch franchises all together and head over to The Hunger Games side.
Hunger Games enthusiasts will understand the notion of the upcoming sequel. "In Catching Fire, past Hunger Games champions are called upon to battle each other to the death in another challenging event - the Quarter Quell."
Robert Pattinson has worked with Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence--he directed Water for Elephants in which Rob starred with Reese Witherspoon.
Rumors surfaced weeks ago that Rob might be in the running for the role of Finnick Odair. Then the hype died down and Garrett Hedlund and Justin Timberlake captured the headlines as possible leads. Now it's back to Rob again.
What do you think will happen? Will Robert Pattinson be cast in Catching Fire as Finnick Odair--catapulting from the Twilight franchise to that of The Hunger Games? How will that set with his Twilight co-stars--especially girlfriend Kristen Stewart?
