Another day, another beautiful Cannes appearance by Aishwarya Rai. The Indian stunner showed off her much improved figure in a Roberto Cavalli kaftan during this afternoon's media call.
Of course, nothing Aishwarya does can go without criticism from the catty media, and mere minutes went by before the negative comments appeared. Some "fans" complained that she looked as if she were wearing a sack, while others claimed that she only chose the dress style to hide her baby weight.
Even if that were the reason for the dress, it doesn't detract from the beauty of it. The blue patterned front and floral back (which displayed a bit of skin) complemented Aishwarya's new curves very prettily, and she looked soft and feminine and, above all, comfortable. A kaftan is a perfect summer dress choice and a great way to stay cool under the hot sun. She paired the dress with some lovely heels and struck familiar, artistic poses for the cameras, as can be seen in the above images from Bollywood blogger Honey Singh.
Regardless of the criticism, Aish looked a million bucks—and had the attitude to go along with it!
