Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson vs. Kanye West and Kim Kardashian at Cannes

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are getting a lot of attention at Cannes, and you know that has to be just a bit annoying to Kim Kardashian—she's obviously hoping to use her new beau, Kanye West, to get optimal publicity as half of the film festival's hottest couple. However, she wouldn't even by trying to turn the event into "Kannes" if it wasn't for Kanye.

In the battle of the best couple at Cannes, Rob and Kristen score a few extra points for both being in movies that are being shown there. Kristen wowed the crowd by starring in her first nude scenes in On the Road, while Rob's movie, Cosmopolis, didn't get as much acclaim from critics (maybe he should have gotten nude, too).

Kim Kardashian is attempting to become a real actress through TV guest spots and the Tyler Perry movie, The Marriage Counselor, but she only scored an invite to Cannes because Kanye West was debuting his innovative short film, Cruel Summer, at the festival—it's an art installation that uses seven screens to create a unique viewing experience. However, Kim would probably rather stare at a seven-way mirror.

At the film fest, Kim has been doing her best to show off her relationship with Yeezy by going crazy with the PDA. Meanwhile, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson stunned everyone when they were caught kissing at Cannes—she and Rob are hardly ever spotted getting so intimate. So since their smooch was such a rarity, that makes it just a little more magical (and it scores the couple a few more points).

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been dressing impeccably at Cannes, but it's definitely not unusual to see the couple looking like they're dressed for a special occasion. Kim is always sporting a full face of makeup and designer clothing. But Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson seem to enjoy looking more low-key and comfortable when they're not on the red carpet, making it more impactful when they trade their ratty T-shirts and dirty jeans for glamorous gowns and well-tailored suits. Plus fashion fiend Kim was probably jealous of all the attention that Kristen got when she took a big fashion risk by wearing a pair of bright yellow pants on the red carpet.
