Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have lately been dealing with the drag and difficulties of a long-distance relationship, as Gomez has been in Bulgaria filming The Getaway, with Bieber back home in Hollywood promoting "Boyfriend" and also attending the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas last Sunday. But, it's par for the course for the busy pop sensations who frequently must deal with many miles of separation due to their demanding schedules. But, upon Gomez's recent return to Los Angeles, they wasted no time in picking back up where they left off before Gomez jetted off abroad—which simply means the adorable couple piled on the PDA at the LAX airport and then spent a Saturday together, savoring one of their standard lunch dates.
They may have skipped the picnic setting and Panera this time, in favor of an Asian-inspired meal at Benihana in Sherman Oaks, Calif., which seems to be another of their fave places. (They've been spotted there on occasion, even with the Biebs' kid siblings.) But the couple did not forgo their typical displays of affection. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were photographed holding hands as they exited the Japanese restaurant, with the "Baby" singer completely dressed down in a T-shirt, baggy sweats, and baseball cap, and Gomez slightly more "put together" in skinny jeans.
So, what break-up rumors?! Bieber and Gomez seem to still be quite the Jelena item, and their current romance only proves that absence really does make the heart grow fonder. No doubt they both had plenty to talk about over their little reunion lunch, though.
And Selena Gomez seems to have even more catching up to do, now that she's back in L.A. Before meeting up with Justin Bieber, she was spotted getting gas in Encino while rocking a sexy midriff-baring top and chatting on her cell phone (perhaps her boy was on the other end of that call, or maybe she was talking shop with her manager!). As Just Jared reports, before arriving back in the states from Bulgaria, she even posted to her Facebook page, "My fragrance is in Macy's stores now!!! As soon as I get home I am going to Macy's to see the set up..."
So the starlet definitely had more than just her boyfriend to be excited about upon her return, but will her eponymous perfume be as scent-sational as her romance?
