Selena Gomez Thanks Fans for Protection

Selena Gomez is back in Los Angeles to reunite with boyfriend Justin Bieber and promote her new fragrance at Macy's. Although all the details are not yet in, not only her fans but also her haters arrived at the promotional event today in force.

Bodyguards can only protect Gomez in a physical way; they can't protect her from hateful remarks. They were apparently so bad, Selena had to cut the event short. Fortunately, her fans outweighed the haters and took up for the Love You Like a Love Song star.

Selena was so overwhelmed with appreciation for her fans that she thanked them on Facebook. "THANKS YOU SO MUCH to my fans for always protecting me and being there for me," she wrote. "I can't thank you guys enough. I'm sorry I had to rush out. Love you guys."

Why would anyone want to go out of their way to hurt Selena Gomez? She's never been anything but good to her fans. Even after today's incident, she quickly invited 67 of her devoted fans to go backstage for autographs. Those who don't like her should just find something else to do.
