Bethenny Frankel's reality show Bethenny Ever After had its season finale last night and it sounds like Bethenny was closing several chapters in one episode. For one, the couple made the big move to her new apartment and was settling in. Second, she was saying goodbye to her loyal assistant Julie Plake, who had made the decision to move back to her hometown of Pittsburgh to start her own life with her boyfriend. Lastly, she announced she would be filming her talk show, hence ending the reality show.
Well, Bethenny wrote her final goodbye on the Bravo blog and now Julie is opening up on Bravo's website about her hard decision to leave the family behind. "I wanted to thank all of you for the positive thoughts and support throughout this whole journey," Julie writes on her official Bravo blog. She has been Bethenny Frankel's assistant since Bethenny was running a baking business, where she would bake all night and sell the products all day. "Working for Bethenny and creating an unbreakable bond with her family truly changed and molded me as a person, and has allowed me to take the next step of my life with confidence. You have all helped build Bethenny's empire and your constant support has allowed her to take the next step—her talk show. Although I am not directly working for Bethenny anymore, I am supporting from a distance and keep very close to her and her family."
It sounds like Julie and Bethenny will continue to be friends, even though she isn't working for her anymore. She is still Bryn's godmother, so she is more family than an employee. Will you miss Julie?
