Selena Gomez is getting pulled into the Justin Bieber scandal after he attacked a paparazzo on Sunday afternoon. One way to put the squeaky-clean Disney girl image behind you is to be questioned by the police in an assault investigation. Of course, Selena did nothing wrong, but she is one of the most important witnesses in the case.
Radar Online reports Sergeant Michael Holland with the Malibu police station states, "At some point very soon, I anticipate that detectives will formally reach out to Justin Bieber for a request for an interview, although he isn't under any obligation to do so, and neither is his girlfriend."
There is technically not a case against Justin yet. As of now, Selena and her boyfriend are not "wanted" for questioning. It is inevitable the case will get to that point in the next week.
Witnesses have already stepped forward and are supporting Justin's actions. Jose Sarros is being blamed for instigating the situation. The dude clearly knew he could gain a few minutes of fame and most likely a great deal of cash for provoking Justin Bieber. The lowlife photographer insisted on being taken to a hospital for treatment and has formally filed a complaint against Justin. Celebrities are often the targets of outlandish lawsuits, and this is no different. Deep pockets make them prime targets.
Selena Gomez is obviously going to support her boyfriend. Add her statement to the throng of witnesses who were eagerly watching Justin and Selena leave the movie theater and there is a good chance the whole thing will be dismissed.
