Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson have finally released photos of their month-old baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson! Jessica and Maxwell appear on the new cover of People magazine and they look smashing! Baby Maxwell is a precious doll and just as chunky as one would imagine a 10-pound newborn to look at a month old! Jessica and Eric earned a cool $800,000 for the first public photo of their darling little newborn.
Jessica looks more refreshed than she has for a while, although it appears the photo has ever-so-slight airbrushing around her right jaw line. Her weight loss is obvious, too. Some of her "baby weight" seemed to be water from severe swelling during the pregnancy because her face and even her arms, look much thinner. Certainly breastfeeding little Maxwell is helping her lose the pounds! During her pregnancy, the media and people making comments on articles, etc. were horribly rude and mean about her weight gain. She has a deal with Weight Watchers waiting for her when she's ready.
On the cover, Maxwell is wearing an adorable white smocked dress with matching headband and Jessica is wearing a white lounge gown (every new mom's saving grace). Jessica had a c-section to deliver baby Maxwell on May 1st. She says that nursing the baby has become a "full-time job" and says she misses the closeness when she has to pump a bottle for Eric to feed the baby. She might be happy to find out that giving bottles to a nursing 1-month-old can cause nipple confusion which can lead to breastfeeding problems. In the interview, 31-year-old Jessica tells People, "From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!"
