Vicki Gunvalson may not have been too happy when she learned that her daughter Briana decided to go to Las Vegas and marry her boyfriend behind her mother's back. In fact, Vicki made a big deal out of the wedding in front of friends, not respecting her daughter's decision to get married the way she wanted for her daughter. Although the wedding happened months ago, Vicki has tried to understand why her daughter wanted to get married without involving her mother in the planning. And while she may never forgive her daughter for a Vegas drive-thru wedding, Vicki is at least proud that her daughter's wedding is making headlines.
This morning, she tweeted a picture of the local newspaper, where the headline read "Staff NCO Marries into 'Housewives' Family." With the article, there is a picture of Briana and her husband Ryan. It sounds like Vicki is happy that Briana can get some publicity from the Real Housewives of Orange County platform, even though Briana probably doesn't care.
"So proud of my daughter and her husband. Article in today's Marine's paper about their marriage," Vicki Gunvalson tweeted with the picture. She is so proud that her daughter and her husband are making headlines and getting media attention. Who would have thought that Vicki would gladly share these things, given how private her daughter is?
Is Vicki just being a loving mother or is she disrespecting Briana's preferences, given she probably doesn't care about the paper's article and all the media focus?
