When it comes to love and relationships, it appears that Fringe star Joshua Jackson has it down. He has been dating girlfriend Diane Kruger for six years, and the pair have been asked about their plans to marry recently. Do they have plans to settle down and make things official in terms of marriage?
Jackson answered that very question, and it seems to be no. They have no plans to legally marry. He said the following, according to The Insider:
"Neither of us is religious, and the picket fence isn't what we're aiming at. We're together for six years now, so for all intents and purposes, we are [married]. I have no need for a priest to tell me that!"
These two have been happy together for several years, and when they are caught out in public they never hide the PDAs. At Cannes, Jackson bid and won a $45,000 diamond necklace for his lady love. This pair wouldn't be the first pair in Hollywood to hold off on marriage. Until recently, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had decided to not marry. It was only recently that they changed their minds.
Jackson will have more time to spend with Kruger starting next spring. Fringe is headed towards its final season on Fox. The series was renewed for a thirteen-episode season to wrap things up. That will air in the fall on Fox.
What do you think? Does a couple need to legally tie the knot in this day and age?
