Kate Gosselin's kids are most certainly growing up! The mom of eight got emotional on Thursday as her twin daughters, Mady and Cara, "graduated" lower school and officially became middle-schoolers. Of course Kate is proud of her girls, but—like any mom—she realizes that they are getting older
and they aren't "little" any more by any means... the 6th grade is serious stuff!
"...my fifth graders are 'graduating' from lower school this morning... I'm just a bucket of tears... Happy ones, for once, so that's good," Kate tweeted on Thursday. She was clearly going through a lot of different feelings and it is very common for parents to get emotional when their kids hit major milestones like this one.
Kate Gosselin's kids seem to well-rounded despite having been on television and watching their parents go through a divorce. They all seem to be doing really well and the twins especially seem very bright. They will undoubtedly do very well in middle school and beyond. Kate might be sad that her first-borns are growing up but she is also very proud.

And what's with the comment happy [tears], "for once"? What are all the sad tears for? She has a beautiful home with a pool, 8 kids who she brags are doing well in school, talks about how blessed she is, finds time to run marathons all over the country, blah, blah, blah.
Bottom Line: Kate's not happy unless she has someone, somewhere feeling sorry for her.
Sounds pretty spoiled to me. My kids never "begged" to go anywhere; they knew and appreciated that family vacations were a special event, not their right as children.
Remember that Kate made 5 million dollars last year, so the heck with the *cute little cabin*. She could rent a nice, large log home if she wanted. Kate, however, would rather have someone else pay for her trips.
@Harvey, too true.
@NaKF, are you serious? Paid trip and a freakin' Mercedes? I can't even put into words how ridicuplus that is to me.
