Rapper Lil Wayne threw a bit of a fit on Thursday night when he was denied access to game three of the Western Conference finals in Oklahoma City. Weezy took to Twitter to rant about not getting in to watch the Thunder take on the Spurs.
Of course, the story got blown out of proportion. People thought maybe it was because of Basketball Wives. However, the real reason Lil Wayne did not get into the game is simply that he did not have a ticket. That makes good sense. You want to see a game, you need a ticket even if you're Weezy.
It seems that Weezy went all diva on the Thunder. He requested seats to the game, which was sold out, and he would only accept front row tickets. Well, there were none to spare, so he didn't get in.
Thunder spokesman Dan Mahoney said, "We'd love to have him at a game, but like anyone else, he needs a ticket.'' In this instance, the rapper did not have a ticket, so it's not surprising he did not get in to watch the Thunder's 20 point route of the Spurs.
Even so, Lil Wayne took to Twitter to express his displeasure (are you surprised?). He tweeted, "Was going to go to the Thunder game tonight but was denied by the team to be in their arena. Wow. Smh. Go Spurs!"
What do you think of his behavior? Do you blame OKC for not letting him in to the game without a ticket?
