During her Cannes appearance, Aishwarya Rai's weight gain met with positive reviews from Hollywood and other international media but media from her home country of India still criticized her. Ouch, if home is where the heart is, Aishwarya Rai's heart must be broken to chunky bits and pieces.
Fans were expecting the Bollywood actress to stun critics with a slimmer, sleeker figure. Ash did manage to stun but it wasn't exactly what she had expected. In fact, it wasn't what anyone had expected. She wore a number of beautiful dresses which covered her from top to bottom. The dresses were designed to try and minimize the 38-year-old's plump belly and even plumper arms. The mission was a failure.
But, Aishwarya Rai still managed to pull in international rave reviews about how beautiful she looked during the he AmfAR Cinema Against Aids gala. India though isn't focusing on anything else but Ash's plate. Oh well, at least she has her baby Aaradhya by her side.
