Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, looked elegant as collector dolls as they rode through London yesterday, in an open carriage. It was their first such ride in their home city, since the Royal Wedding a year ago April. Prince William wore a top hat, and it looked perfect on him. Obviously, he was born to wear such attire. Duchess Catherine dressed in subdued white, making no effort to outshine 
Her Majesty the Queen at this, her special time. The ride was a processional back to the palace from the day's festivities, reports People, but this was their special moment—just the prince and his princess, being cheered by thousands of the Britons who love them. The stuff of fairy tales.
Fans will remember Kate Middleton did not want a carriage ride at the wedding, but she was persuaded that tradition was worth the trouble. The pair pleased their Canadian friends with another carriage ride through Ottawa, on the royal trip to Canada last summer. Now, everyone is back in London, celebrating Queen Elizabeth's 60 year reign. The pictures and the memories will live on. Prince Harry was there, too, sharing the ride. He always keeps things lively.
