Niall Horan has got to see a lot of famous faces up close since becoming a member of One Direction, but it sounds like he was really starstruck when he got to meet Barack Obama's daughters Sasha and Malia.
He also got to talk to Michelle Obama at the Kids' Choice Awards early this year, and she invited 1D to visit the White House. Unfortunately the band couldn't make it because of their busy touring schedule, so Sasha and Malia Obama had to check out the band while they were in Virginia instead.
Niall revealed that the two girls had fifteen Secret
Service members keeping an eye on them at the concert, which is something some tax payers will probably complain about. However, the two girls were obviously just trying to be normal teenagers by rocking out to One Direction. Their parents seem to be pretty strict about how the girls use the internet and what they watch on TV, so perhaps the concert was a reward for their good behavior (Justin Bieber must be worried that he's losing two of his biggest fans).
Niall Horan also said that he actually got to talk to Sasha and Malia after the concert, revealing that they're just regular kids who gabbed about everything "from food to roller coasters to life to them having lots of security all the time." That last one is obviously something that One Direction can relate to - they also have to have tons of security to protect them from handsy Directioners.
Niall Horan reiterated that he's a massive Barack Obama fan, so it's a shame that younger teens and tweens aren't old enough to vote - the president has probably won millions of underage supporters just because of Niall's comment.
You can check out Niall talking about the president's daughters in the video below.
